In fact, in the sub-Saharan Africa, there are ten million young people (aged 15-24) and almost three million children under 15 that are living with HIV(1). Those are more often at greater risk of malnutrition, illness, abuse and sexual exploitation.

girl in ZambiaThe AAH programme supports currently 1358 orphans between the age of 0-12, living in communities around Kitwe. The children receive one meal per day, four days a week through 28 feeding centres. Also 13 community income-generating activities have been set up aiming at creating autonomy from a short term international aid (vegetable gardens, hammer mill, chicken rearing and animal husbandry).
