Recyclaid, can also be a source of development through employment and reuse of profit in concrete actions
Recyclaid raises funds for Action Against Hunger UK's project in Zambia through its recycling activities in the United Kingdom.
Recyclaid is engaged to support AAH in the implementation of its project in Zambia which aims to improve food security and nutritional status among orphans affected by AIDS. In fact, in the sub-Saharan Africa, there are ten million young people (aged 15-24) and almost three million children under 15 that are living with HIV(1). Those are more often at greater risk of malnutrition, illness, abuse and sexual exploitation.
The AAH programme supports currently 1358 orphans between the age of 0-12, living in communities around Kitwe. The children receive one meal per day, four days a week through 28 feeding centres. Also 13 community income-generating activities have been set up aiming at creating autonomy from a short term international aid (vegetable gardens, hammer mill, chicken rearing and animal husbandry).
Thank you for your donations! :-)

Roma-Lom Foundation in North-Western Bulgaria has received our support in the Educational project for deprived children
The project aims at improving the conditions of children aged 1-5 from discriminated communities living in Lom. It gives them an opportunity for an equal start at school through pre-school activities.
The intervention includes: the organisation of 4 groups of 15 kids for preparation before joining pre-school classes, the meetings and training of the parents to motivate them in the education of their kids, the teaching materials and the construction of a children's centre with an outside playground.
